As you will notice the blog has had a mini makeover. New Year good intentions and all that.
There was a distinct lack of festive posts. It would be easy to refer the honourable reader to the answer I gave one year ago. Yes in true Christmas television tradition I had a repeat - lung infection, antibiotics. In fact we cancelled the grandparents on Christmas Day and delayed that until New Year's Day!
Last year left me with a very flat start, well not to beat around bushes, a bout of depression. I feel very flat this time but certainly hope not to go entirely down that route again or have my anxiety/panic attacks stoked. Panic attacks are something I have never really discussed on the blog. They have been with me for over 15 years and have completely impacted on my life. I worry that if I blog about it I will sound like a moaning wreck but in honesty I am not unhappy with my lot and who wants to dwell anywhere? Removing any sense of modesty I have always ploughed on to achieve as much as possible even if I have to take a somewhat unconventional route to get there and not visit the more traditional of life's stop offs! So if anyone ever wants a post about panic attacks etc just say - my life is an open, erm, blog otherwise lets all bask in the idea that I am perfect ;o)
Such waffle aside Happy New Year everyone.
New Year's resolutions: to blog regularly! I love blogging and it is the one way I can keep myself writing and keep my mind ticking over. Yes, this year I shall be following on with the writing dream. Please shove me when I fall off the blog wagon.
And my final aside for today: weather. Will weather forecasters please stop saying that sun in winter is good weather and going into doom and gloom when so much as flake of snow is forecast. Snow is good weather for winter. I want snow. I want ice. I want frost. I want germs and bugs killed and the earth in my garden broken down.
What's the old cliché? The fun is in the route taken not the destination? Unconventionality (?) rules!
And we know you're perfect anyway....
