A mixed post of updates, news and general rumblings.
First off, until Thursday night, you can hear the last in the series of Record For Training Purposes - some of my work is on this show (the hospital radio quickies). Now to get my mind in order to come up with some new ideas for series 2.
Still on the radio theme, Mum and I went on the local BBC radio yesterday, talking about cats. It was great fun with callers ringing in to say whether they were cat or dog people. One man phoned in he had a parrot and a dog. The parrot's favourite pasttime is to beckon the dog over and when the friendly pooch gets there Charlie the parrot squawks 'sod off'!
And now on the doggy theme - did you watch Crufts? I wanted the bloodhound to win but in the end the title went to Fabulous Willy. It was odd to hear Peter Purves talking of a fabulous willy and lovely bitches on display...
This weekend I treated myself to one of those mini greenhouse type contraptions (which I found on offer at £12 - bargain!) and am planning on getting organised better this year for some veg and herb growing. I'll keep you updated on the blog. Today I bought my first lot of seeds - sweetcorn, courgettes, lettuce and french dwarf beans. The other week I won a bag of very fancy compost so they should get off to a good start.
I am trying to turn procrastination to good use. After not writing and making cards instead I now have more cards than I need so I am selling a load off here!
