The total lunar eclipse last night was beautiful. The visibilty was perfect and the sky really looked like black velvet encrusted with diamonds. Sadly I have no photography skills and the best I could get were these. I won't hold my breath for NASA calling offering me a job.
I think this is called mid-umbra
Totality when the moon appeared red in the earth's shadow.
Much better than the poor attempt I made on my blog!

A huge ginger biscuit. It took me back to when I was a child. My father worked at Heinz, next door to McVities. Thurday was gingernuts day, the aroma carried all over NW10.
