I was looking after Abigail, my friend's 6 year old, yesterday evening. The evening's entertainment largely revolved her styling my hair, that style being 'psycho tramp'.
Then out of nowhere she just looked me straight in the eyes and said 'Do you believe in Jesus'.
'Yes' I replied. 'Do you?'
'Sometimes I do' she said, 'but at the moment I don't because I prayed and it hasn't come true'
'Well what did you pray for?' I ask
'Two things but I won't tell you the first. The second was for longer playtimes at school and that hasn't happened'.
Then, she paced up and down a while and before saying 'Okay I'll tell you my first prayer. I prayed that he'd make the land I've made up in here [tapping on her forehead] come real and it hasn't'.
1 - I find this just as good an argument as any Richard Dawkins has come up with for God not being real
2 - The thought of Abigail's world becoming reality should terrify you all
