And smile. Today has been one of those days that has just handed me enough to make me smile and feel I can take on anything.
A tenner on the lottery last night, some lovely emails from friends and then off to the hospital for renal clinic which turned out to be very positive with yet another lovely doctor. The kidney function is within waving distance of normal, and the treatment is working. We have a plan of action - which means mega steroids for a couple of months more and then low doses to keep me in remission for perhaps up to five years. Nothing I can't handle, certainly with the wonderful support I get, and much better a scenario than it could have been.
A yummy lunch, chancing on a sale stall (and some Christmas shopping, yes I said Christmas shopping!), back home to more lovely messages from friends and family. A harvest from my veg planter of one courgette. A chocolate cupcake. Newly dyed purple hair. Wearing make up for the first time in months. Seeing my name on the shortlist on the Foyles Summer Scream competition webpage.
Smile.
