Big Hopes For Small Island

I am sat literally counting down the minutes to the BBC's adaptation of Andrea Levy's Small Island. It's on BBC1 at 9pm tonight.

It's been one of my favourite reads from recent years. If you haven't read it - do. Of course there is that gnawing feeling, will the drama be as good as the book? I've purposely not gone to see any news on the cast, any pre-viewing reviews etc, I just want it plonked in front of me now. And a cup of tea, if that's not too much to ask.
