Almost recovered from last week!
On Wednesday we had our first cat case since the festival.
Cassie and her kittens were brought to us as a rescue case just hours after the kittens were born. The pink and red dye on their fur is because she had set up home in a flower distributors yard and had sat in dyes used to colour petals. Thankfully not harmful just makes a beautiful tortie even more colourful! And it matches my Download hair and you know how we girls like to co-ordinate!
She was very frightened when we first saw her but as this shows she is now a very content mum, with ensuite facilities and room service, located in my bedroom!
cat, kitten, kittens, cat+welfare, nursing+queen
Bless 'er, she looks pretty contented.
Glad you're almost recovered!

The very image of maternal calm.
Cats! The only creatures that start off cute and then perfect it as a skill as they get older.

Aw, cute! The cat rescue place took 'our' stray before she produced - I am really relieved, as once she had kittens she'd have been much more likely to wheedle her way in to my affections :).

What a lovely family! Our old puss is 16 but, fingers crossed, still going strong. We "rescued" him from a farm - not that he was being ill-treated at all but he was a real farm kitten and had never been indoors. He spent the first few days hiding under the bathtub but as soon as he emerged he took to indoor life like a duck to water (or a cat to milk, perhaps I should say). When I say, "indoor life", I don't mean that we keep him prisoner! He has a catflap and comes and goes as he pleases.
