we have our first hand rear kittens of the year in.
It is my fault too. We were in the vets yesterday picking up some special biscuits for my Trulli and got chatting to one of the vets about cats and kittens. I said:
"We haven't had any kittens to hand rear this year but it won't be far off now"
Which the universe translated as:
"I have no desire for a good nights sleep over the next six weeks, I demand I have entities to wee on me at all hours sent this way NOW"
And lo, today a very stressed colleague from the cat charity rang with an emergency case and we now have 6 newborn kittens to try and save (two siblings were already dead).
Despite such a big litter they are quite big but have come to us under 12 hours old and we will be up against to see who can pull through. Sometimes they all seem to rally for the first fortnight and then stop thriving so there is quite a journey ahead.
I will take some photos and video of them soon.
