Call that snow? Pah! We had a dusting here. I could have created the same effect with a sieve and some icing sugar *sulks*. I want drifts!
Moan aside it has been a day when my mind just rambles out of control.
I watched Scrubs (one of my favourite shows) and was taken aback to hear a character say 'whoopsy daisy'. I've always thought of whoopsy daisy as being particularly English - the sort of thing you say when you knock over a jar of homemade jam at a village fete.
Thinking about the use of whoopsy daisy was also spooky as it came just as I was thinking 'I must ask my American blogging friends if they use the term lala over there for someone who is showing signs of being a bit deranged' I ask as I feel lala and me might often go together...
Remember how you used to get those equations in maths lessons and you had to marry them together to be one equation (no don't tell me what it's called. I don't care!) Well I was applying that theory to my love of correcting modern song lyrics.
One of my favourite songs last year was The Automatic's Monster, with the catchy chorus line of 'What's that coming over the hill? Is it a monster?'.
A favourite quote from last year was on the occasion of Dame Judi Dench having caught sight of Daniel Craig in all his glory and she allegedly reported back 'It's a monster'.
Ergo
Let's all sing along now 'What's that coming over the hill? Is it Daniel Craig's penis?'
scrubs, whoopsy+daisy, humour, humor, Judi+Dench, Monster, The+Automatic, Daniel+Craig
That's an image that may well be with me for the rest of the day...
Just listened to the show! It was brilliant! And you had your name mentioned at the end as a scriptwriter! Squee!
