As Blair gets his cattle prod out to shuffle the herd, there is reportedly anger over Prescott deputy role not least here. Once again it has set off the most disturbing imagery in my mind.
In Blair's pruning session Prezza gets to keep his deputy pm role but his departmental responsibilities are taken over by Ruth Kelly. Please tell me knocking off the secretary isn't one of the departmental duties she'll have to take on. Not exactly the hot girl on girl action I suspect most red blooded males fantasise about.
It was an interesting set of local elections. The Tories seem to have come out of the week, unlike Prescott, as big down south (You can't beat a small willy joke as long as politicians with small willies ask for them to be beaten)
Elsewhere in newspaper land there were pictures of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, though this is as regular as the page numbers of late. They come across as so dull. They should lighten up and call the child Booze.
On the subject of childrens' names, the trend of naming juniors with offbeat names seems as popular as ever. The best place to collect these new names is the supermarket aisle, as the delightful whipper snappers are reigned back in by parents with built in megaphones.
So far this year I have narrowly escaped being mown down by Wyoming and Tequila. But my favourite of 2006, and I think it will take some beating is, Thespian. I wonder how he got the name...if I had asked I imagine the conversation would have gone something along the lines of:
ME: What a lovely little boy, what's his name?
PROUD MOTHER: Thespian
ME: That's, mmmm, unusual.
PROUD MOTHER: Yeah I just liked it when I heard it. S'pposedly it's the name of an actor. I ain't seen him in anything though.
The other night on Little Angels (which I can't watch, but caught a few mins of) there was a "Romany" and a "Velvet".
A couple of years ago in Manchester I heard a mother yell at a toddler, "You nearly f**ing spilled that then, Dido!"
*shudders*

Thespian LOL Oh dear.
I have encountered a Keanu and a Dakota. And my youngest son has a friend whose middle name is Shearer.
