Important things first. Today is one of my very best friend's birthdays. Happy Birthday Lynne! We have always lived far apart but currently Lynne is taking this to extremes by living in Australia. This situation falls under the modern slang term of 'pants'. However, she is coming back for a visit this summer which will be whatever the opposite of pants is.
Yesterday I took the plunge and joined in at Writers Dock - it's a forum and resource site for writers. It is another of my baby steps to break down my fear of vocalising my ambition of writing and comedy. No-one's bitten me and the welcome has been as warm as toast. What an inspiring bunch of people!
Feeling suitable inspired, and investigating other sites and resources recommended by other forum members, I scuttled off to Amazon to order Writing Comedy by John Byrne. I'll add some of the interesting links I find to the right...I am in danger of becoming organised.
Otherwise it has been a day of moaning about pains (I won't go into detail for your own comfort as it would involve the word 'bowel' being overused) and cleaning.
Good for you taking the plunge. You won't go anywhere unless you take that step.
I'm heading for warmer climes for the next week, but I'll be checking what you've been up to when I get back. Hope the old 'pain' has gone.

You may hate my friend St. Jude for this, but she just invited a whole BUNCH of weirdos and crazies (like me) to visit you.
A comedy writer! A reader! A person with bowels! Three things in common right off the bat! (I do not usually write exclamatorily.) (I also mangle perfectly good words--mostly on purpose, but then too, I'm American.)
If you don't mind I'll just nose about a bit, and I promise not to touch anything.

I think "tops" is the official opposite of "Pants"
