A bit of good news to share.

As those following the story know I made it to the last 23 writers in last year's BBC Sketch Factor competition. Whilst I didn't make it as one of the winning 10, the 13 runners up have all been invited to submit two sketches per week for the new Radio 4 comedy sketch show which is showcasing the winners.

Well this week one of my submissions got the thumbs up and will be performed at next Tuesday's recording! *yikes* this will be the first time EVER that anything I have written has been performed.

They do record more than they need and so it awaits to be seen if the audience respond favourably to my efforts and whether I'll make the edit for the final broadcast version but I am just so chuffed (and nervous) to have made it to the audience!

I have entered two sketches per week, religiously, and have tried to listen to the show and producer's comments and taken those on board - hopefully this is a sign I am learning.

I will keep you posted as to whether I get a coveted radio credit but in the meantime be sure to tune in to the show, Record For Training Purposes as it's proving very funny.

Oh, Powerful Blog...

So yesterday I bemonaed the lack of snow and lo and behold about four hours later we had a snow fall! Not a lot but enough to put down a covering and make me feel maybe we will have a winter.

Given the awesome power of this blog to bring about a change in the weather I will now try this…

I’m worried that my six numbers don’t come up on the lottery.

I look forward to tonight’s jackpot draw.

Just A Quickie

Hi Guys.

Just a quick post this time but normal service will be resumed asap! After being ill for a month and the meds etc it seems to have left me with a wee bout of depression - something I've never experienced before and they're not wrong, it isn't very nice! Thought I'd be open about it on here though so as you don't think I am being rude or lazy!

I'm not going to go into detail about it either - that feels too much like giving it oxygen but I am trying to do all the right things and I hope it is just a quick episode that goes as quickly as it came. No, instead I will be back soon bemoaning Celebrity Big Brother and waffling!
