I'm Just An Old Bag...

Well they are promising me snow again this week, I will wait and see. I am certainly not holding my breath.

The lack of snow, the budding flowers, scientists in Geneva, recycling my christmas tree and lawn cuttings - at the same time - has made me really wonder, and even panic a little about what the hell we have down to mother earth.

It is a very small gesture but this year I am making a concerted effort to recycle as much as possible (though as some people point out our current recycling efforts are a pointless piss in the ocean) and conserve energy better.

In Asda yesterday they were selling lovely strong shopping bags reduced from 70p each to 25p each, and raising money for Breast cancer research, so I bought some of them and will try to stop using plastic bags.

Stable doors and bolting horses it may prove to be but anyone else want to join me in becoming old shopping bag ladies?

Yippee!

Good news folks! I heard from the producer today that my sketch will be broadcast in next week's show! Nearer the time I will make sure you are all reminded!

But double good news. I sent in another sketch today and they like that too and it will be going in front of the audience at next Tuesday's recording. So another week of fingers crossed in the hope that sketch makes it to the airwaves too.

I'm feeling very chuffed and excited. It's been a nice boost to my confidence and thanks to everyone who has listened to my waffle on the way!

Very kindly, one of the winning writers who was at last nights recording listened out for my sketches and reported back - the good news is he says they went down very well. Wow! People laughed...I can't quite believe it.

Now it is fingers crossed time that they make it through the final cut and make it to the airwaves...I'll keep you posted.
